Cong MLC K Janardhan Reddy on Saturday rubbished the Opposition charges that the Congress party would lose deposits in the by-elections being held for seven assembly constituencies in the State on March 18.
Talking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party Office, he said that Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Telugu Desam and Bharatiya Janata Party have launched a malicious campaign against the Congress to affect its winning chances. He said the Congress would contest from all the constituencies in the by-elections without considering the allegations of opposition parties.
Janardhan Reddy expressed confidence that the people of Telangana region would vote for Congress party in the elections based on the welfare schemes launched by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and the development works taken up in the Telangana districts.
Responding to the impact of Telangana state issue in the by-elections, he said that the Centre would take a favourable decision and honour its promise given to the people of region. (INN)
