Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader K Jana Reddy has observed that days are not far off when the people will teach a fitting lesson not only to the TRS but also to the MLAs, who had quit the Congress.
Speaking to the media at CLP office here on Tuesday, Jana Reddy said Khammam MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar and MLC Farooq Hussain defecting to the TRS was painful. He alleged that the ruling party was influencing the Opposition parties’ MLAs and leaders to join the TRS.
Condemning political defections, Jana Reddy said the people would teach a fitting lesson to the defected MLAs. “It was not correct on the part of TRS to weaken the Opposition parties”, he felt. Stating that the Congress would complain against the defected MLAs, Jana Reddy said the ruling party was adopting extreme steps to weaken the Opposition parties in the State. “This will surely affect the ruling party in future. Party defections in the new State are shocking”, he said, adding there was dire need to enforce anti-defection law effectively to stop the malady. (NSS)
