YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Minority Cell Convenor Habbeb Abul Rehman today reiterated that Muslims are not in a position to believe N Chandrababu Naidu as his past carries the scar of being associated with fundamentalists while the community has benefited enormously with the YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s welfare schemes. Talking to media here, Mr Rahman said, ‘It was YSR who introduced four per cent reservation and Chandrababu Naidu’s association with BJP and NDA is still fresh in the memories of Muslims and his sudden turn-around to appease the community will yield no fruits as he drifted away from us.’ ‘We cannot forget demolition of Babri Masjid and TDP extending support to BJP-led NDA government and Muslims cannot trust the tall promises being made by N Chandrababu Naidu. Be it the Money Transfer Scheme or 15 seats to Minorities, we are not prepared to believe him,’ he said.
