TRS MP from Nizamabad K Kavitha today ridiculed the BJP for fielding Jagga Reddy, a former Congress leader.
Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan here on Thursday, Kavitha accused the BJP and TDP combine of fielding Jagga Reddy, who stiffly opposed statehood for Telangana. She said the Telangana people are with the TRS and its candidate in Medak will win the bypoll. She also said BJP Telangana president G Kishen Reddy should explain as to why they fielded Jagga Reddy.
She exuded confidence that the TRS candidate K Prabhakar Reddy will win the bypoll in Medak. “As the people of the state are with us and survey revealed the same, Medak seat will be ours”, she maintained. She also said the TRS has given priority to those participated in Telangana movement besides giving equal respect to the TNGOs. Kavitha found fault with the leaders for making a hue and cry but failed to talk on Polavaram and special powers to Governor. She also said Telangana people would not believe in Telugu Hero Pawan Kalyan, who extended support to Jagga Reddy.
In a related development, OUJAC leader P Ravi warned the actor of dire consequences if he steps into campaign for Jagga Reddy in Medak bypoll. Already the Telangana people taught Pawan a lesson during the movement, he said. It is better if the actor abstains from giving open support to the BJP candidate, he added. (NSS)
