People Want Nothing Short Of Telangana State: Narayana

CPI State secretary Dr K. Narayana here on Tuesday declared that barring separate Telangana State, the people of the region would not accept any packages nor formation of Rayala Telangana under any circumstances.

Dr Narayana was speaking to mediapersons after releasing resolutions passed at the State CPI meeting. Alleging that Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy had miserably failed in rescuing the State pilgrims in Uttarakhand deluge, the CPI leader said his party activists would collect donations for the flood victims on June 27.

The CPI leader also demanded that the State government formulate and implement Special sub-plans for Muslims and Backward Classes. He also disclosed that his party would organise protest rallies in the State on July 1 against the new Excise Policy announced by the government. Narayana has warned that his party activists would resort to direct attacks on the belt shops if the government failed to scrap them. He also demanded that Union minister Jairam Ramesh to accost the Chief Minister on the existence of belt shops in the State. (NSS)
