People turn off radios, when ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is on: Congress

The Congress Party on Sunday lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for doing his Mann Ki Baat programme instead of speaking on important issues in the country and said that people switched off their radios when the programme was on air anyway.

“Every month the Prime Minister does his Mann Ki Baat, but he remains a mute spectator to other important issues. Prime Minister Modi is losing his credibility in the country and the people are not ready to hear his programme anymore. When his voice comes on the radio, people switch off their radios,” Congress leader Rashid Alvi told ANI.

“He is not ready to utter a word on the writers who have returned their awards. He spoke on the Dadri case but only after a month, again no action was taken against the perpetrators,” he added.

Prime Minister Modi will share his thoughts with the nation through his Mann Ki Baat programme today.

“#MannKiBaat at 11a.m today. Looking forward interacting with you through the radio,” The Prime Minister tweeted today.

The programme would also be live-streamed on the YouTube channels of Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and DD News. (ANI)
