People tresspass into DPS chairman’s office, FIR registered

Several people, including a woman have been booked for allegedly tresspassing into the office of VK Shunglu, chairman of DPS society at F Block, East of Kailash in the national capital here.

According to police, they had received a complaint in this regard at Amar Colony Police Station from Rear Admiral MM Chopra, who is the Vice Chairman of DPS Society.

“The complainant had alleged that at around 9.30 AM yesterday 10 persons trespassed into the office of the chairman of DPS society, VK Shunglu after breaking open the locks of his office. The complainant also pointed out that VK Shunglu was out of country when the incident happened,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (southeast) Mandeep S Randhawa.

It has further been alleged that the trespassers forcibly occupied the office of the chairman and started issuing orders to the staff illegally.

It has also been alleged that Dr Sharada Nayak, one of the members of the Working Committee has been appointed as the Chairperson in place of Shunglu and neither Shunglu nor the complainant was intimated about it, he added.

The complainant alleges that there were several disciplinary matters pending against Dr Sharada Nayak, police said.

As prima-facie a cognizable offence was made out, a case at Amar Colony Police Station for criminal trespass was registered.

Investigation into the same is in progress. Besides, local police arrangements have been made to prevent any breach of peace, said Randhawa.
