People suffering for BJP woes: Congress

The people of Karnataka are suffering because of the infighting in the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Congress said Friday.

Spokesperson Rajiv Shukla told reporters here that while he would not comment on BJP’s internal affairs, the people of Karnataka “are paying for the internal conflicts of the party in the state”.

A fresh crisis enveloped the BJP in Karnataka after former chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa reportedly set a Feb 27 deadline for the party to make him chief minister again, failing which he would quit.
