Launching a scathing attack on Congress party, BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu today said the people have rejected dynasty rule in the country, and they punished the Congress party in the general elections.
Speaking to the media here, he said the BJP won the elections with majority and bagged the seats more than our expectations.
Taking a dig at the Congress party, Naidu said it secured only double digit seats as people have rejected its dynasty rule precedents. The people have taught a lesson to its alliance parties also. DMK in Tamilnadu and BSP in Uttar Pradesh did not win a single seat, and except the family members of the SP nobody could win the elections, he said adding that the left parties, which have supported Congress party, lost their existence.
Manmohan Singh as a prime minister did not participate in election campaign. The mother and son only campaigned for their party.
People of the country have the confidence and they saw a ray of hope that if Modi becomes Prime Minister, good days will come and that is the reason they have voted our party, the BJP senior asserted.
Lashing out at the Congress party and its vice-president Rahul Gandhi, the BJP leader said the people did not like the outbursts of Rahul against Narendra Modi. Reacting on the election results, Naidu said the results showed that the country became independent second time, and it was a historic people’s mandate.(NSS)
