People reeling under hot spell

As severe hot spell was continuing in the two Telugu States, people were suffering from oppressed heat with rising temperature at several places.

In the last 24 hours, Anantapur recorded 42 degrees Celsius, Kurnool 40.5 degrees, Nandyal 40 degrees, Jangamaheshwaram 38.7 degrees, Nandigama 38.5 degrees, Tirupati 37.1 degrees, Vijayawada 37.1 degrees, Nellore and Arogyavaram 37 degrees. In Telangana, the Nizamabad district recorded 42.1 degrees, Adilabad 41.3, Medak 41.2, Ramagundam 40.4, Nalgonda 40.2, Mahbubnagar 40, Hyderabad 39.8, Hanamkonda 39.6 degrees Celsius.

According to India Meteorological Department’s daily weather report of Telangana State, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places over the State in the coming two days followed by dry weather all over the State. (NSS)
