TRS senior leader and Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao here on Sunday said “Andhras” like Rayapati Sambasiva Rao and that ilk, who were making tall claims that they had developed Telangana region, had come to Hyderabad five decades ago barefoot wearing lungis.
Participating in his party’s “Nagara Baata” program in Sitaphalmandi area in Secunderabad, the TRS leader sarcastically said “Andhrollu”, who had migrated to Hyderabad for eking livelihood, would remain tenants in the region indefinitely. He also warned that the Telangana agitation in the coming days would be held on Vijayawada and Kurnool highways and Lanco Hills.
He also appealed to the youth of Telangana not to join the YSR Congress party, which was floated by Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy for the sake of chief ministership only. He cautioned that if the youth of the region join Jagan’s party, it would be like spiking their own eyes.
Harish Rao alleged that Kiran Kumar Reddy government was foisting cases against TRS leaders as party chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao asking for justified share in water and funds for Telangana. “Did KCR demand land in Guntur or a share in Tirumala Hundi? The party supremo only asked for just share in water, funds and jobs for Telangana”, he said, adding that the Andhra-dominated government was adopting arm-twisting methods by foisting false cases against Telangana leaders.
