People protest following road accident at Tolichowki

Hyderabad, August 8: Situation became tense after a road accident occurred at Tolichowki area late night where angry mob pelted stones at the vehicles after seeing the injured. It is said that Mohsin bin Omer Masqati and his two daughters Zehra and Tahera who are said to be twins, suffered serious injuries. Mohsin was going to his house at Nadeem colony from old city on motor cycle along with his daughters when the accident occurred near Moghal residency. Due to carelessness of a lorry driver Mohsin’s vehicle was hit though they escaped a major accident, Mohsin’s leg had been cut according to Langarhouz police.

Seeing the horrible sight of the accident the angry mob attacked the lorries illegally parked and damaged nearly 20 lorries. According to inspector Langarhouz Sridhar, nearly 100 to 150 people set a lorry ablaze. The accident occurred in the wee hours of Sunday almost at Sahri time, triggered tension in the area. Police arrested 4 persons, Taufeeq Ahmed, Syed Jawwad, Yousufuddin Siddiqui and Imtiyaz and remanded them under judicial custody.

As the lorry ran onto Mohsin’s legs one of his legs broke at two places due to which his leg had been cut after operation. The condition of the two girls is said to be out of danger.
