Hyderabad: After winning two Assembly seats in Nanded, MIM, in order to strengthen its political base, contested Municipal elections.
The defeat of MIM candidates proves that the people of the constituency are not satisfied with the performance of the party.
According to the opinions of the citizens of Mumbai, the hopes of the Muslims of Maharashtra were not fulfilled.
It may be mentioned that during assembly elections, MIM had raised slogan “Har Ghar Majlis, Ghar Ghar Majlis” in response to BJP’s call “Har Har Modi, Ghar Ghar Modi”.
However, this time, MIM had forged a coalition with BSP by suggesting the slogan “Dalit-Muslim unity”. Despite this, MIM met with defeat in all the 11 municipal constituencies. It is similar to the situation wherein MIM was successful in Byculla Assembly Constituency in Mumbai but subsequently, all its candidates got defeated in Municipal elections.
Results of Nanded municipal elections show that the people of the constituency reject communalism.
It may be noted that during the heavy rainfall in Hyderabad city, MIM leaders were busy in the election campaign in Nanded.
