People must think why Jagan has gone to jail: CM

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has asked the people to think why YSR Congress chief and Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has gone to jail, before voting for his party.

Addressing a road show along with Union minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and MP Chiranjeevi in Chagalamarri under Allagadda constituency of Kurnool district, Kiran said Jagan never fought on the problems of the people and had not gone to jail for any such valiant fight. He has gone to jail because he was an economic offender and amassed a whopping one lakh crores of rupees illegally. Kiran has described the YSRCP as a party of “rowdies and murderers”. He said all such people would land only in jails. He said that he never wanted Jagan to be jailed, and added that still law would take its own course.

Stating that Jagan started craving for power too early in his political life, Kiran has reminded that his father Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had become Chief Minister after working for 25 years in the Congress. He alleged that Jagan had betrayed the ideals of his late father. He said Jagan should remember that YSR became the Chief Minister of this State twice because of the blessings of Congress president Sonia Gandhi. He said that the list of Jagan’s offences was a long one. He said that Jagan had connections with those who were charged with murdering TDP leader Paritala Ravindra. He said that if YSR was alive, he would have remained only in the Congress. The Chief Minister has said that he was outspoken as he was not afraid of any one.

Referring to Shobha Nagi Reddy, who is seeking re-election as YSR Congress candidate from Allagadda, Kiran Kumar Reddy commented that she has never approached him for even a single rupee for the development of her constituency during her term as MLA of Allagadda.

Azad has called upon the people, who had voted earlier for PRP to vote for Congress now as the former had merged in the Congress party now. Azad has said that Jagan had gone to jail because he had violated the law and clarified that neither the Congress party nor the government had anything to do with his incarceration. He lamented that even YSR’s death was now being politicized.

Chiranjeevi has called upon the people to vote for Congress to fight against corruption. (NSS)
