BJP floor leader G Kishan Reddy has alleged that a situation has arisen that the people were cracking jokes on Hyderabad roads.
Participating in short discussion on ‘Hyderabad City Development’ in the Assembly on Tuesday, Kishan Reddy urged the government not to transform Hyderabad city into ‘bad city’. The Tata and Reliance Industries companies were digging roads indiscriminately, he lamented and alleged that the government failed to solve the problem of bad roads and vehicular traffic yet.
The private companies were digging the roads with police security and the police were detaining the political parties’ leaders when they staged dharnas protesting against digging of roads. Questioning the GHMC whether it has no power to restore street lights as existing ones failed, Kishan Reddy said he was not criticizing the government, but he was relaying the pulse of Hyderabad public representatives.
