People have lost confidence on Chiranjeevi: Jogaiah

East Godavari political veteran Hari Rama Jogaiah, who was firing salvos at megastar-turned politician K. Chiranjeevi, has said that the former actor has lost confidence of the people.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Jogiah ridiculed the Congress party’s plans to use Chiranjeevi as its star campaigner in the ensuing by-elections and 2014 general elections. He said that people had not trusted him even in the 2009 elections, when he promised to become chief minister and bring a clean administration.

“They have now lost whatever little faith they had, after he joined the Congress party, which he had detested during the election campaigning,” he said, adding that the people had lost confidence that he would be able to do something to them or to the State. He said that if he had remained in the State and given post like Deputy Chief Minister, people would have hoped that he would do some service to them. Now that he had gone to New Delhi, even that hope is gone, said Jogaiah. (NSS)
