New Delhi: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Chirag Paswan on Tuesday said the grand Mahagatbandhan alliance of the RJD-JD (U)-Congress would face a major and main challenge from the NDA-led alliance during the five-phased poll in Bihar.
“Their main challenge is our alliance. We get mass support in all of our rallies, especially in the rallies of the prime minister. So, somewhere it is a cause of concern for the people of the grand alliance as to how they will face the NDA, especially when their allies are leaving them,” Paswan told ANI.
Paswan further said that there is a huge lack of trust within the Mahagatbandhan, which is not the case with the NDA.
“We have always said that there is no problem or bitterness in our alliance. It is something to see how their alliance will progress, where there is a huge lack of trust,” he added.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Monday announced that his party would contest on 160 seats while Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) would fight on 20 seats, thereby bringing an end to the ongoing tussle over seat-sharing for the Bihar Assembly polls.
Shah further announced that Ram Vilas Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party ( LJP) would contest on 40 seats and the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) would battle it out on 23 seats. (ANI)
