People are free to join or leave Sangh: Bhagwat

New Delhi: Terming RSS as a unique model of human development in the world, its Chief Mohan Bhagwat today said people are free to join or leave Sangh at their will and there is no boundation, but to understand the organisation one should have an open mind.

“It is important to make efforts to understand the RSS.

But to understand the RSS one must have an open mind that is free of presumptions, biases and pure curiosity,” he said speaking at an event to mark the 90 years of the organisation.

He termed RSS as addictive, saying those who get used to it, cannot move away.

“This is the reason some might not join the organisation.

One is free to join or leave RSS, on his own will. There is no boundation,” Bhagwat said, adding RSS is unique model in the world of human development.

“There is comparable to it. Very rare you came across bunch of people who work for the development of society by taking all sections along with them, he said.

Elaborating RSS’ evolution, he said the organisation was involved in the freedom struggle but we never had the time to talk about it.

He reiterated that whosoever born in India is Hindu and added that ‘Hindu’ and ‘Bharatiya’ are words with same meaning.

However, he said unity in diversity which is keeping the country together and the characteristic of India comes from culture of ancient times.

At the event, founder of the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) founder Milind Kamble was also present who said that I was ABVP leader and worked for BJP also. He also welcomed the demonetisation move.

Besides him, Union Ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad, Harsh Vardhan were also present at the event.
