Srikakulam, July 09: Defying the suggestion of the Congress High Command to ensure that his tour was a low key affair, and the strong remarks of the Chief Minister Mr. K. Rosaiah and his warning to MLAs and ministers not to participate in the tour, Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy, Kadapa MP and son of the former Chief Minister late Dr. Y. S. Rajashekara Reddy, has started his ‘Odarpu Yatra’ from Ichapuram, on Thursday morning.
He chose to start his tour from here because it was from here his father had started his historic ‘Pada Yatra’ that enabled the Congress party storm back to power. Jagan started his tour from ‘Vijaya Vatika’, the place where his father ended his ‘Praja Prasthana Yatra’. He has cut a cake there to mark the birth anniversary of his father.
