Job Description:
We are looking for a hands-on manager of security penetration testing team who enjoys security work and possesses both deep and wide expertise in the penetration testing and security space. You will use information security threat intelligence to identify and exploit vulnerabilities within our products. The focus areas for this role is managing penetration testing team, guiding team members(hands-on), validation of findings, reporting, collaboration, stakeholder and project management.
Role Responsibilities:
Initiation: determining penetration testing scope, requirements including the assignment of appropriate penetration testers and resources required to execute the penetration testing project.
Scheduling: coordination and signoff on deliverables, timelines with testers, product owners and product development teams
Execution: active monitoring and management of penetration testing activities and resources during the execution cycle for various products. Provide hands on technical guidance and feedback to penetration testing team members.
Findings: validate and prepare penetration testing results, reports with required details. Communicate results to all product owners and stakeholders
Tracking: Reporting final findings as issues to appropriate tracking system as per the process and standards followed by Oracle HGBU
Remediation: Verifying the appropriate remediation of identified findings/issues along with evaluation of evidence provided that the finding has been remediated. Providing evidences in support of remediation resolved the stated issues.
Requirements
At least 3 to 5 year experience in managing penetration testing teams
Manager will have 5+ direct reports in India, and be part of a global security team for Oracle Hospitality
12-17 years of experience as Security Specialist in Application Security Assurance, Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing
Good verbal and written communication skills
Communication and collaboration with stakeholders and senior management
Experience with security tools such as Nmap, Metasploit, Kali Linux, Burp Suite Pro, etc., as well as other various commercial and self-developed testing tools
Experience with various application attack vectors, security test processes and strong knowledge of common vulnerabilities (i.e. OWASP Top 10)
At least 12 years of application security testing experience
Working knowledge of SQL and high level languages
Good technical communication skills, both written and verbal; good analytical and problem solving skills
Must be able to effectively work with and interact with teams of various backgrounds and maintain positive relationships; be able to work in a collaborative team environment;
Demonstrable experience of writing information security reports, documentation and standards accurately and to designated timescales
Membership and visibility in professional & civic organizations
Certifications
– ISC2 certification is preferred
– CISSP, CISM, CISA, ABCP or CBCP certification are big plus
Demonstrable practical experience of information security
Proven track record of Information Security Governance
Solid Understanding technologies, infrastructure and architectures
Demonstrable understanding of information security protection and methodologies
Experience of assisting users with identification of information threats/vulnerabilities/risks
