Pellegrini insists Man City not reliant on Aguero

Johannesburg: Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that his side are more than a one-man team after Sergio Aguero’s brace helped them to deny defeat against spirited West Ham.

Earlier, star striker Aguero scored twice to rescue the visitors from the jaws of defeat and to settle with a 2-2 draw against West Ham in their Premier League clash.

Pelligrini said that his side were not just reliant on Aguero and there were many more players in the team who had spent more time on the field than the Argentine, Sport24 reported.

Describing the 27-year-old as a `top` player, the Chilean manager, however, admitted that it was important for him to be fully fit in order to return to his best form.

City have won just one away game since September 12 and are now three points behind surprise league leaders Leicester City in the second place.

City will next lock horns with Sunderland on February 3. (ANI)
