Pedro ‘livid’ over possible Barca exit talk

London, Aug. 12: Barcelona striker Pedro has expressed his anger over technical secretary Robert Fernandez’s remark that the 28-year-old wants to leave the Spanish champions, saying the issue is not regarding money but about minutes on the pitch.

The Spain forward has been linked with a move to Manchester United and came off the bench to score the decisive goal in Tuesday’s thrilling 5-4 Super Cup win over Sevilla.

According to the BBC, Pedro criticized Fernandez over his ‘unfortunate declarations’ and denied all the claims made by Fernandez. He added that despite having a good chance to play in the Super Cup, the Barca coach decided not to count on him.

He also said that he didn’t know if he would stay at the club, insisting that even if he decides to go, he would do it with his head held high.

Barca had the last laugh on Tuesday after Pedro struck a late winner in the 115th minute to give his side the first success in the competition since 2011. (ANI)
