Peddapalli SI shot himself due to harassment by MLA: TDP

TDP leader Vijaya Ramana Rao today demanded immediate arrest of those, who are responsible for suicide by Peddapalli Sub-Inspector Jaganmohan.

Three days ago SI Jaganmohan committed suicide with his service revolver at Peddapalli in Karimnagar district. There was no protection for police personnel, who protect lives of the people, he said. Contrary to the claims of TRS that police men would get good postings and promotions if Telangana State was formed, their promises turned out to be false and transfers of SIs, CIs and DSPs were being made on the recommendations of MLAs, he said.

The TDP leader said Peddapalli SI Jaganmohan took to extreme step following harassment of Peddapalli MLA Dasari Mahonar Reddy, who allegedly involved in land encroachment. Though Jaganmohan committed suicide at 9 pm, his suicide note was made available next day noon, he suspected.

The TRS government was making false promises whenever there was an elections, he alleged, adding that Chief Minister KCR had announced adoption of Chinnamulkanur village in Karimnagar district which has 1,200 population and promised to build pucca houses for them. Some 182 families, believing his promises, dismantled their hatched houses with the hope they would get a permanent house. But, still they are waiting for pucca houses, he added. The TDP leader demanded action against TRS leaders, who were criminally intimidating sincere police officers.
