After a clash between the two groups of people in Challalla villageof Kurnool District in connection with a land dispute near the mosque peace has been restored.
Three persons were killed and five persons were injured in these clashes.
According to police reports, Mr. Ghani Miyan and two others have been taken into police custody.
Mr. Ghani Miyan had opened fire on the villagers in connection with the murder case of a police officer. There was peace yesterday in the affected area.
Police pickets have been posted in sensitive areas.
Police had ordered to shift the buffalos from the area adjacent to mosque when the Muslims had represented the case. On this issue, persons belonging to majority community got irritated. They attacked the worshippers and caused injuries to them. A tractor and other vehicles were set ablaze near Ghani Miya’s house.
Three persons were killed in the firing.
According to the report of PTI, the accused fired 53 rounds whereas police recovered only 26 bullets.
