Hyderabad, January 20: A delegation of World Peace Festival International Society Warangal comprising of Prof. Naveen president Society, Dr. Anees Siddiqui Vice president society and Mr. Mohammad Siraj convenor society called on Mr. Zahid Ali Khan editor Siasat daily on Wednesday and acknowledging Mr. Khan’s significant services towards Ummah handed over a letter of his selection for Peace Messenger award as per the resolution passed by the society this year.
The society has been trying its best for preservation of peace and religious harmony for the past 14 years.
It conducts literary competitions for students on district level in this connection, stages peace rallies and confers peace loving awards to supportive personalities for maintaining peace and harmony in the society.
In the past this award was given to Mr Gopal Reddy Vice Chancellor Kakatya University, Mr. Chukka Ramaiah Teacher MLC and renowned journalist Mr. Potturi Venkateswara.
This year the society has passed the resolution in favour of Mr. Zahid Ali Khan editor Siasat daily and the award will be given away at a grand function at Warangal on February 26.
