Srinagar, July 14: The Peoples’ Democratic Party on Monday said there was a need for serious and sustained efforts to find a permanent solution of the Kashmir issue.
“A final and amicable solution alone can prevent recurrence of the kind of unrest that is witnessed by the state at present,” PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed told a large gathering of party workers at Pahalgam, 100 km from here, on Monday.
He charged the ruling National Conference-Congress government with using cheap tactics to target the PDP through its propaganda.
He also paid rich tributes to the martyrs of 1931.
