PDP patron Mufti will be the Chief Minister of Kashmir

The PDP and BJP have “sorted out all the hitches” in the Agenda and finally join hands in Jammu and Kashmir for Alliance.

PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on Friday met PM Narendra Modi in New Delhi and will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of the state on 1 March 2015.

Mufti invited PM Modi to attend his swearing-in ceremony.

“I have invited PM for swearing-in ceremony on 1st of March, he said he will be attending the ceremony,” said Mufti.

Talking to reporters after meeting the PM, Mufti said, “PDP and BJP arrived at consensus over common minimum programme after talking for last 2 months.”

“I had a fruitful meeting with PM today, had discussions on many issues. I told PM that I have a dream of making J&K an island of peace and we also need to engage Pakistan in that,” said Mufti.

BJP has given no written assurance on ‘Article 370’as demanded by PDP.

Declining to comment about the understanding on contentious issues like Article 370 which gives special status to the state, Sayeed said, “I won’t talk on the issues. The CMP will come in black and white and the entire public of the country will see what we are doing.”

Governor NN Vohra will administer oath to Mufti Sayeed at the swearing-in function which will be going take place in Jammu at 11 am on Sunday.

And as per the sources, BJP’s Nirmal Singh will be the Deputy CM of the state for six years.
