PDP-BJP divorce was a perfect “match-fixing”: Omar Abdullah

Srinagar: National Conference (NC) vice-president Omar Abdullah termed the breakup of the PDP-BJP alliance as a “brilliant fixed match”. He alleged that the two parties “crafted their divorce” and “scripted it to perfection” after taking a cue from Bollywood movies. Mr Omar wrote on Twitter while sharing a clip from the 1977 political satire movie ‘Kissa Kursi Ka’.

Responding to BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav’s reported comments that there was no question of horse-trading, he asked: “Then why not dissolve the assembly?”

The former chief minister called for the immediate dissolution of the state assembly, saying keeping it in suspended animation encourages brokers.
