PCC should have young ledership: Brar

Patiala, April 12: Calling for emergence of youths in party hierarchy, CWC member Jagmeet Brar today said reigns of the party in Punjab should be handed over to young leadership.

“The decision of new PCC president has to be taken by the party and I think younger leaders should emerge,” he told reporters here.

He was replying to a question on the prospects of Amarinder (67) becoming the PCC chief.

The Congress Working Committee member, however, said “Amarinder had been a very good chief minister, successful leader and he still has an influence in Punjab. We consider him as a good leader of the party.”

About his own chances to come to the post, he said any eligible party worker could be fit for the office.
