PCB rejects Younis Khan resignation

New Delhi, October 13: Younis Khan on Tuesday resigned as skipper of the Pakistan cricket team but the Pakistan Cricket Board did not accept his resignation.

According to Pakistan media reports, Younis stepped down during the meeting of the National Assembly standing committee on sports, where he had been asked to appear following match-fixing allegations in the recently-concluded Champions Trophy in South Africa.

Coach Intikhab Alam, who was also present at the meeting, blamed the Indian media for raking up the controversy.
