Karachi : As the Pakistan Cricket Board continues its search for a new head coach, its chairman Shaharyar Khan has said that the board may appoint an interim coach for the tour of England in June.
Pakistan are scheduled to play four-match Test series, five ODIs and a single T20 match against England.
According to the Express Tribune, Shaharyar stated that no one has been selected yet despite rumours suggesting a few favourites for the role.
According to reports, former Australian cricketer Dean Jones is being considered as favourites for the role of head coach, while former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif for the vacant chief selector position.
The PCB has been looking for a new coach after former pace spearhead Waqar Younis stepped down following Pakistan’s dismal performance in Asia Cup and World T20. (ANI)
