PC is right in saffron terror remark, says Paswan

New Delhi, August 30: Home Minister P Chidambaram, whose remark on “saffron terrorism” has led to controversies, today found support from an unusual quarter with LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan backing him on the issue but accusing Congress of “shielding saffron organisations”.

“Chidambaram is correct. He is not simply an individual but also the Home Minister of the country and if he has given any statement, he must have done it with full responsibility.

Congress is unnecessarily trying to bring down his morale. The party is shielding saffron organisations,” Paswan told a press conference here.

Apparently worried over the fall-out of the comments, Congress had distanced itself from the Home Minister’s remarks saying, terror has no no colour and that care should be taken on use of words.
