PC bans noisy systems in city till December 11

In the wake of reports that high volume sound emitting systems, including DJs, were causing disturbance and annoyance to the citizens and general public, Hyderabad city Police Commissioner Mahendar Reddy has issued orders prohibiting use of high volume sound systems, including DJs emanating sound levels beyond permissible limits at public places, gatherings including processions, from 6 am on November 27 to 6 am on December 11.
However, the cases specifically permitted by the Divisional Asst. Commissioners of Police are exempted from this order, he stated, adding that any person violating the order will be punished under provisions of Hyderabad City Police Act. (NSS)
