PayPal sharpens focus on travel, tourism; announces partnership with Vistarooms.com

New Delhi [India]: Leading open digital payments company PayPal has announced its partnership with Vistarooms.com to enable foreign travelers travelling to India book hotels in a safe and seamless manner and on a platform they are familiar with.

Vistarooms.com has over 1000+ hotels across India, Sri Lanka and Maldives and they will be using the automated invoicing capability of PayPal. Through this facility, they will be able to automatically send invoices to customers by an email along with a link that can be followed to complete payments through PayPal.

“We have focused on mapping the touch points of foreign tourists lifecycle – ranging from hotels, cab services, food, and festivals and partnering with these merchants to enable them to enjoy a safe and seamless travel experience while also protecting the Incredible India story,” said director Large Merchants, India, PayPal, Megha Thareja Tyagi.

“Vistarooms.com will help us further add to the existing list of travel and tourism partners that include OYO rooms and Makemytrip. Additionally, our robust Seller Protection program helps merchants safeguard their online services from frauds,” added Tyagi.

PayPal’s Seller Protection policy places the merchants’ funds on hold once a buyer files a claim, requests merchants to provide information that justifies their deliverables and releases funds to the sellers once the transaction is deemed eligible.

“At Vista Rooms, we are focused on giving a traveler a seamless stay experience wherever one may travel. Our partnership with PayPal allows us to provide further payment flexibility to both local and international travelers. Furthermore, the automated invoicing capability also simplifies the booking and accounting process for us. Overall, it’s a win-win for both the customer and the company,” said co-founder Vista Rooms, Ankita Sheth. (ANI)
