Vijayawada: The people of Andhra Pradesh administered shock to Tollywood hero-turned-Janasena party president K Pawan Kalyan on Thursday when the Assembly election results were announced.
The over-confident Pawan Kalyan, who contested the elections from Gajuwaka and Bheemavaram Assembly constituencies, was rejected by the constituents at both the places. The Janasena president was trounced by YSRCP candidate Nagi Reddy in Gajuwaka. Similarly, he was defeated by YSRCP candidate Grandhi Srinivas in Bheemavaram by a margin of 8,500 votes.
In Andhra Pradesh, Pawan’s Janasena party fought elections in alliance with Bahujan Samaj Party and Left parties. But the people in the two constituencies rejected the actor and favoured the YSRCP.
