Jana Sena chief and Tollywood hero Pawan Kalyan today clarified that there was no truth in the rumour that the slain TDP leader Paritala Ravi had tonsured Pawan Kalyan’s head years ago.
Alleging that some TDP leaders were deliberately spreading the rumour, Pawan asked, “How could I remain silent if such an insult happened to me”. He said there were no caste rift in Telangana and there was only Telangana sentiment. Development was only possible when there were no caste feuding, he said and wished that the fruits of development should reach all sections and regions equally. Chandrababu developed multi-cultured Hyderabad city, he remarked. Demanding that Andhra Pradesh government render justice to Fathima College students, Pawan made it clear that he will wage movement along with students if need arises.
Participating in a face-to-face debate with Fathima College students here, Pawan asked the government not to play games with the future of the students. He questioned the State government as to why the students should face punishment when the College Management committed a sin. He said he would solve the problem after speaking to Health Minister Kamineni Srinivasa Rao. (NSS)
