Hyderabad: Actor-turned-politician and Janasena Party founder Pawan Kalyan today decided to enrol himself as a voter in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.
Kalyan, who is presently enrolled as a voter in Hyderabad, took the decision when a group of his fans and Janasena leaders from Eluru, the headquarters of West Godavari district, met him and made a request to the effect, a Janasena release said,
He was enrolled as voter in Hyderabad in undivided Andhra Pradesh, it said.
Kalyan has asked the party’s administration wing to make arrangements for his enrolment as a voter in Eluru and also directed that a house to suit his convenience be found there, the release said.
The actor-turned-politician, whose campaign in favour of TDP-BJP helped the alliance win in the 2014 elections, has been articulating the promise of special category status made to Seemandhra (new Andhra Pradesh) during the previous regime and other issues concerning the state.
