Paul Walker’s friends ‘tried to save him after car crashed’

Paul Walker’s friend has opened up how he and everyone else present at the scene of the fireball car wreck tried to free the trapped star.

Antonio Holmes told a gossip website that he and his friends desperately tried to put out the raging flames using fire extinguishers and free the ‘Fast and the Furious’ star from his seat belt so he could be pulled out, the Mirror reported.

Holmes said that everyone risked their own lives by attempting to reach into the burning car, but the flames and the heat was so “immense” that they were dragged away by the fire officials when they arrived to the scene.

The friend of the 40-year-old actor said that everyone got a phone call informing them about the accident, and they just jumped into their cars to reach the scene.

Holmes said that as soon as he and Walker’s loved ones and other friends arrived, they were trying to put out the flames with extinguishers.

He said that it was immense and he saw him trapped lying unconscious in the car, as the car was engulfed in flames, but the driver wasn’t visible to him.

Antonio said that he had to grab everyone and pull each other off as they were risking their themselves, something that Walker would have done too.

He added that when the firefighters showed up, they were all out and some of them were put into squad cars so they wouldn’t leave the scene and there were at least seven extinguishers on the ground, and that Walkers friends wouldn’t stop trying to help.

Walker had been on his way to a charity event for his organisation “Reach Out Worldwide” when the red Porsche he was travelling in hit a tree and burst into flames. (ANI)
