‘Patta’ distribution is a poll gimmick: Ponguleti

Deputy CLP leader in Legislative Council Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Saturday asked the TRS Government to act in a serious manner to resolve the problems being faced by the people.

Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here, Ponguleti said that the TRS Government’s honeymoon period is now over and it should act in a more responsible manner. Referring to distribution of land ‘pattas’ among poor people, he said that the TRS Government was resorting to ‘gimmicks’ in view of next GHMC polls. He said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao should take entire opposition into confidence if he was really serious on weaker section housing scheme.

Ponguleti said that the ‘Cash for Vote’ case has affected the image of ‘Brand Hyderabad’ across the globe. He demanded that the case should be probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy has named AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in it. (INN)
