Patient goes missing from Osmania Hospital

In a bizarre incident occurred on June 9, a patient suddenly went missing from Osmania General Hospital. The incident which came to light lately exposed the negligence of hospital administration.

According to details Azmat Tasneem resident of Hafez Baba Nagar had shifted her husband Mohammed Saber to the hospital on June 6. He was suffering from paralyses. He could not even speak properly. According to Azmath Tasneem when she went to collect X-ray report on Saturday, She had to wait for long. She returned to her husband’s ward after a long time only to find that her husband was missing from the bed. Someone told her that her husband went away from here taking bag in his hand. She was surprised to hear that because her husband could not even walk properly how can he go from the ward.

Later the woman approached Afzalgunj police, where the police by registering FIR on June 9 started investigations. When asked about the matter, investigative officer sub inspector Afzalgunj Mr. Raghuvendra told that police is investigating the case. When enquired whether they interrogated hospital administration and ward staff, the investigative officer lamentably replied he was busy in some other work so he could not investigate.

Mohammed Saber (40) resides in Hafez Baba Nagar and prepares slippers. He has a daughter; he was suffering from severe pain for the past one week. On the advice of Charminar hospital doctors he was shifted to Osmania General Hospital from where he mysteriously went missing.
