Dhenkanal : Four persons, including three members of a family, were killed and two others critically injured when their vehicle collided with a truck in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district today, police said.
The accident took place on National Highway-55 near Nadhara when the vehicle which was taking a patient, a woman suffering from cancer, home at Burla from SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack was hit by the truck.
The patient, her husband, her son and the driver were killed in the accident while two others were injured, the police said adding that the woman had been taken to the hospital for chemotherapy.
The injured persons, relatives of the patient, were admitted to a nearby hospital.
