Patanjali Food Park to remain in UP as Yogi Adityanath assures full cooperation

Lucknow: Yoga guru Ramdev assured Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister that Patanjali Food Park will remain in UP. He made his stand clear after Mr. Yogi Adityanath assured full cooperation in setting up of the project in Greater Nodia, UP.

According to the report published in New Indian Express, earlier, Patanjali Ayurveda Limited (PAL) had threatened to shift the Rs. 6,000 crore mega food park out of the State. This statement was issued due to alleged State government’s disappointing attitude and delay in completing formalities to transfer land.

After the statement, UP CM talked to both Ramdev and Patanjali MD Acharya Balkrishna. Mr. Yogi also instructed officials to speed up the process.

It may be noted that the MoU for this 455 acre mega project was signed between Patanjali and UP Govt. It was signed in the month of November 2016 when Akhilesh Yadav was CM of the State.

UP Govt. on Wednesday also gave the reasons for the delay in land transfer for this project.
