Passport holders alone can apply for Hajj 2011

Hyderabad, December 29: The Hajj Committee of India has decided to accept applications for the Hajj-2011 from the valid International Passport holders only.

In a press release, the chairman, State Hajj Committee, Mr Syed Khaleeluddin Ahmed, has stated that only passport holders can apply for the Hajj-2011 and all the intending pilgrims should apply for passports immediately to avoid disappointment. He also stated that the present two-form system would be replaced by a single application form. Each head of the Cover (Group) would have to provide two mobile numbers which should be valid till completion of the Hajj. The Hajj Committee would inform the applicants by SMS about the latest developments and status of their Hajj applications.

Mr Khaleeluddin noted that from next year, all refunds, if any, would be directly credited to the account of the applicant and refunds would be made faster.

The Hajj Committee chairman has appealed to all the intending pilgrims to ensure that their passports are ready before submission of the Hajj application.
