The government of Telangana has rolled back the condition of securing 35 pc parks in Telugu to pass the examination and restored the previous pass mark of 20 pc. In the GO MS no 10 dated 26-11-2014 it is clarified that the earlier orders of increasing the pass mark to 35 have been modified and the pass mark of 20 pc has been restored. The government has sent the copies of the orders to Commissioner and Director School Education besides other concerned department including State Council for Educational Research and Director Department of Exams Telangana.
Students and managements of various private schools were apprehensive about the government’s move to increase the pass mark of Telugu as a second language in SSC public examination by 15 marks. They demanded a roll back fearing that the move would adversely affect students whose mother tongue is not Telugu.
