Jaipur: Parts of Rajasthan continued to receive pre-monsoon showers, even as day temperatures soared in the western areas of the state with Sriganganagar being the hottest place at 46.3 degrees Celsius.
Sojat in Pali received 7 cm rains followed by 4 cm at Parbatsar in Nagaur where rainfall occurred till this morning since yesterday, the MeT department said.
Rohat in Pali and Bhinay in Ajmer also recorded 4 cm and 3 cm rains respectively whereas several other places registered rainfall below 2 cm, it said.
With day temperatures soaring in Western areas of the state, Sriganganagar remained the hottest place at 46.3 degree Celsius and Churu, Bikaner and Jaisalmer recording a maximum of 44.8, 43.2 and 41.2 degrees Celsius respectively.
Day temperatures in other areas ranged from 38 to 40 degrees Celsius.
The meteorological department has predicted light rains accompanied by thunderstorm at isolated places in the state tomorrow.
