Most parts in Hyderabad turned dark due to Electricity issues

Hyderabad: Most parts of Hyderabad sunk into darkness after sudden power cuts due to voltage issues.

Low voltage, fluctuations, no power throughout the city is giving a hard time to city dwellers as many areas have no electricity since Monday night.

A transformer in East Maredpally burnt due to overload along with the burning of many electrical appliances in Teachers’ colony.

Both the areas, East Maredpally and West Maredpally had no electricity since lights and fans stopped working after the power was restored.

Whereas some Hostels reported no electricity since Monday night. Other than damage to electrical appliances due to electrical voltage issues, a resident of Maredpally also reported injuries due to the blowout of light bulbs at night in his house stating the same because of voltage problem.

Though the problem caused was due to a car ramming into electricity pole as told by Chief GM Transco, U. Vidyasagar, many other areas like old city faced similar blackout due to the blowout of the transformer.

According to the Chief of Transco, there are no provisions in the rule book where the Government would compensate for damaged goods due to power problems sources reported.
