Partiality in giving aid to flood affected farmers of Telangana- TRS

TRS MLA, MR. K.T. Rama Rao alleged the Govt. that it is discriminating the Telangana farmers in giving aid. He said that for ministers, Governor’s birthday is important than flood situation. Talking to newsmen, Mr. Rama Rao told that C.M and the Ministers didn’t tour the flood-affected areas. On the contrary, all of them reached Raj Bhavan to greet the Governor on the occasion of his birthday. C.M., Ministers and Congress leaders have no time to tour the flood-affected districts due to their political activities in Delhi. They have neglected the affected people. He told that due to lack of adequate rains, farmers of Telangana incurred heavy losses. Their crops have been damaged. He bitterly criticized the tours of C.M. Mr. Naidu and YSR Congress Party’s honorary President, Mr. Vijayalakshmi are touring the flood affected areas for there vested interests. He told that these Seema Andhra rulers preferred to tour the Andhra area instead of visiting Telangana area. Mr. Rama Rao demanded the Govt. to give Rs.30 thousand per acre as compensation to farmers. He also said that Andhra Govt. is forcing the farmers of Telangana to commit suicide. He declared that the review meeting convened by C.M. was only an eye wash and drama, He blamed that Govt. officials have not yet assessed the quantum of losses.He stressed the need to conduct the actual survey. He told that Congress Ministers to take interest in the affairs of the people.

Referring to the two day meeting of TRS being held today, he said that in this meeting, strategy to get Telangana would be finalized through Karimnagar Declaration. Announcement would be made to intensify Telangana Agitation. He would give the details of the negotiations Mr. K.C.R. had with Central leaders in New Delhi. He condemned the campaign of Telangana MLA’s in favour of C.M. and declared it as shameful. These MLA’s have hurt the sentiments of the people of Telangana. In reply to a question, Mr. Rama Rao said that TRS is ready to extend its support to Dr. Nagam Janardhan Reddu’s proposed Telangana Bharosa Yatra.
