The members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Friday reviewed the security arrangements in the Tirumala Hills of temple town.
The Committee members led by its chairman and senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu reached Tirupati and first had the darshan of Lord Venkateshwara. Later, the members reviewed security in the vicinity of the temple and also the devotees’ passage.
Talking to reporters later, Venkaiah Naidu said that the security issues related to the temple town, especially on the Tirumala Hills, would be reviewed by the committee and the same would be discussed with former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani, who would be reaching Tirumala on Friday evening. He said that the Centre would be requested to turn Tirupati and Sriharikota into No Fly Zone as a security protocol.
Meanwhile, the Tirupati (Urban) police have made elaborate security arrangements for Advani’s visit. (INN)
