The Union Cabinet has recommended convening of first session of 16th Lok Sabha from June 4 to June 12, according to sources.
Parliament will meet to facilitate swearing in of new MPs, election of the Lok Sabha Speaker and the President’s address to the joint sitting of the two Houses.
Thereafter, Parliament will break to meet in July to consider and pass the first Budget of the Narendra Modi government.
