Hyderabad, July 25: Suspended director of Parkwood School International (PSI) Mohammed Salahuddin Ayub spent most of his time at the rest house in the school reportedly due to his strained relationship with his wife. The man, facing allegations of raping a minor girl, threw light on his marital relationship in a confessional statement made before the police.
In the statement, Ayub reportedly told the cops that in March this year, he had taken the victim, a Class XI girl, into his anteroom and raped her after sedating her. Sources said he had also admitted to molesting a Korean student of the same school. The girl had alleged that Ayub tried to outrage her modesty but backed off after she raised an alarm.
Dr Aruna Kumari, who helped the victim abort her pregnancy, meanwhile, claimed that she did so in the belief that the girl was a major.
“The victim introduced herself as a 21-year-old from Mumbai. She was not accompanied by anyone. I aborted her pregnancy at her request,” Aruna Kumari said. Police also confirmed that the surgery was conducted at a private hospital in Banjara Hills in May.
In a related development, sleuths of the Central Crime Station (CCS) on Saturday gave a clean chit to the school warden Indira, who was reportedly picked up for questioning following a complaint from parents of the Class XI girl that she had helped Ayub in carrying out his monstrous activities.
The police said Ayub had direct access to all the girl students and he was in no need of Indira’s services.
“Indira had no role as Ayub used to talk to the girls directly. The students used to frequently go to the third floor, where he stayed, for either watching television or getting their doubts cleared,” Assistant Commissioner of Police K Sudhakar told TNSE. The police recorded Indira’s statement on Thursday.
The investigators also retrieved all the data from Ayub’s laptop and mobile phone. “We have the photographs and videos of Ayub with the girls,” the sources said.
